Discover Data Centers
This topic explains how to discover onramps and data centers for cloud service providers (CSPs) throughout the world.
To discover data center locations
Choose Tools > Discovery.
Select the Data Centers tab.
Click a data center on the map for more information.
The table displays every data center location with available Megaport services, and includes data center name, location, market, maximum port speed, whether MCRs or MVEs are available, and the available actions for the data center.
Extended locations – Both enabled and extended data center locations are displayed on this page. Extended locations are data center locations that aren’t fully enabled or able to be used programmatically by customers, but services can be configured manually by Megaport. Customers that want to use these locations need to contact sales in order to work through the manual process. Extended location types have an Extended badge in the table and the only option in the gear menu is to Contact Sales, which links to a contact form with that location information pre-filled.
Filtering the display
Use the filters to narrow your search based on provider, status (enabled or extended), country, or city. You can also filter by specific needs. For example, search for the availability of a 100 G Port, a Megaport Cloud Router (MCR), or a Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE).
To search for a specific data center provider
Select a data center provider from the drop-down list.
Select a location.
Optionally, use the filters to search for available 100 G Ports, MCRs, or MVEs.
To search based on distance from a specific address
Set the Location Filter Scope to Local to search within a specific radius around a given location.
The default is a 50-mile search radius. You can select a 5, 10, or 100-mile search radius using the Proximity drop-down list.
Enter a street address and city to drop a pin on the map.
The map zooms in on your specified address to include the pin and at least one location, if available.
Click the Megaport ONE logo to view available services at that location.
To create a service
- Click the gear icon under Actions and select Create Port, Create MCR, or Create MVE (where available).
You go directly to the page that allows you to create the service.
